Collaboration Technology and Classroom Group Work

When the teacher announces group work in class, you see students cringe.  I am one of those students that cringe.  Group work can be stressful at times.  Thankfully, technology has advanced and new ways to do group work have been invented.

Facebook, Google Docs, and YouTube are only a few examples of collaboration technology.  They all provide ways to communicate and share information with all of the group members.  Facebook “Groups” specifically, allow members of the group to communicate easily, post pictures, and organize events.  Google Docs allow everyone to contribute to the content of the assignment easier.  YouTube also allows group members to contribute to group work in distant places and videos to help with the assignment.

Facebook, Google Docs, and YouTube are all examples of collaboration technology.  All allow groups to share information and communicate easier.
